Q. What insurance coverage do I need?
A. A minimum of $1 million auto liability (including bodily injury and property damage), $1 million comprehensive general liability, and $100,000 motor carrier cargo liability. Greater amounts may be required depending on your home state requirements.
Q. Why do you need my W-9 Form (or W-8 Form), operating authority, and insurance information?
A. We need a copy of your W-9 Form (W-8 Form for Canadian carriers) so we can pay you. We need a copy of your operating authority and insurance to ensure that only the highest-quality carriers become members.
Q. What is the billing cycle/payment terms?
A. Payment will be made within 30 days from the end of the week in which the shipment occurred or according to the terms of a separate contractual agreement.
Q. What if I don't have a SCAC code?
A. A SCAC code is required. If you do not have a SCAC code, you may obtain one by calling the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. at 703.838.1868.
Q. How do I know when I have been approved?
A. You will receive an e-mail confirming your approval and containing your username and password.
Q. What if we have several people using the website representing our company and have only one e-mail address? Do we need separate accounts for everyone or can everyone use the same username and password?
A. Each user account has a unique e-mail address, but you may allow anyone in your company to use that account. To have separate accounts, each person must have a unique e-mail address.
Q. How can I change my contact information (name, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, password, username, etc.)? Do I re-enroll?
